First Caribbean Carnival Association "Los Chicano's"

Home base: Dance and Party Center Chicano's, Mauritsstraat 12, Eindhoven.
Unique Structure & Royal Court: Instead of the traditional Brabant-style Prince and Adjutant, the association introduced an authentic Caribbean structure led by an official royal couple. The very first royal couple to make history were:
• Rey (King): Clifano
• Reina (Queen): Helena
Vibe & Social Impact:
The association brought an unprecedented, colorful innovation to the Eindhoven Carnival celebrations (Lampegat). The entire group stood out thanks to their stunning green, orange, and yellow Caribbean costumes, towering feathered headdresses, a dedicated and enthusiastic salsa dance demonstration team, the board, and active members. With their spectacular floats and vibrant energy, the association participated in several major parades in Eindhoven, generating a tremendous amount of positive publicity and photo coverage in various newspapers. Although the association ceased operations following the sale of the entertainment venue in 2006, "Los Chicano's" remains on record as the definitive pioneer of Caribbean Carnival in Eindhoven.
